Driven by Community

The Challenge We’re Addressing

Too many talented Canadians face unnecessary barriers to employment, inclusion, and opportunity.

Founded in 2017, Substance Cares is the not-for-profit arm of Substance Group, a Marketing Agency created by Neil Forester and Xavier Pinto to uplift overlooked communities through purpose-driven programs.

What began as volunteer work has grown into a national mission to empower marginalized voices across Canada.

WORKING FOR A STRONGER CANADA

Born three months premature and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, I have spent my life navigating spaces that were never designed with accessibility in mind. After nearly 30 surgeries, my mission is simple: create a world where inclusion is intentional, not an afterthought. Through speaking, advocacy, and the HOPE campaign — Help One Person Everyday — I work with communities, organizations, and events like InclusiV to show what belonging can look like when people are truly seen, heard, and included.
